The Prince’s Trust

Youth charity The Prince’s Trust helps disadvantaged young people to get their lives on track, supporting 13 to 30 year-olds who are unemployed and those struggling at school and at risk of exclusion. Many of the young people we help are in or leaving care, facing issues such as homelessness or mental health problems, or they have been in trouble with the law.

The Trust was founded in 1976 by The Prince of Wales. Having completed his duty in the Royal Navy, His Royal Highness became dedicated to improving the lives of disadvantaged young people in the UK, and began The Trust to deliver on that commitment. Our President’s vision was to unlock the potential of a generation providing support and training to help young people help themselves.
This vision remains at the heart of our work today.

We can’t continue our vital work alone. Your kind generosity will help make this event a success and enable The Prince’s Trust to support more young people in the East of England, to develop key skills, confidence and motivation, enabling the region’s youth to move into work, education or training.

Through a range of tailored programmes, we help young people to overcome personal barriers, and with almost one in five (17.9 per cent) 16 to 24-year-olds facing unemployment in the East of England, it’s essential we are there to provide help and support. Last year we were able to support over 4,000 young people in the East of England and want to continue expanding our reach in the coming year to help young people achieve their full potential.

Three in four young people supported by The Prince’s Trust move into work, education or training. Since 1976, we have helped 750,000 young people and support over 100 more each day.

On behalf of The Prince’s Trust, our loyal supporters and most of all, our young people – thank you for your support.

Kind Regards
